Buckminster Knows 022

The Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, one of Milan's most ancient churches, was built by St Ambrose in an area known as burial place for martyrs of the Roman persecutions. It was rebuilt in Romanesque style in 1099 but the original basilica plan was left untouched.
The austerity and flatness of the facades and the differentiation of the two towers give the basilica an odd contemporary air.
Couldn't find a plan right away, my apologies for this inconvenience, if you can find one please feel free...
